Cookie Policy

Last updated 29 July 2026

The short version

We use only strictly-necessary cookies today, to keep you signed in, plus functional browser storage for your theme and onboarding. No analytics or advertising cookies: our public pages measure audience without cookies and without storing anything on your device. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent first and let you choose by category.

About Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a site; similar technologies include browser localStorage and sessionStorage. This policy explains which we use and why, and supplements our Privacy Policy.

Cookies and Similar Technologies We Use

Today PDFglyph uses only what is strictly necessary to run the app:

  • Session / refresh cookie (strictly necessary): a secure, httpOnly cookie that keeps you signed in and protects your session. Without it you cannot stay logged in. Duration: up to 30 days.
  • Functional localStorage (strictly necessary for the feature): stores your theme choice and onboarding progress in your browser. It is not sent to our servers.

We use no analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our public pages do carry cookieless audience measurement (Umami Cloud, EU region): it sets no cookie and stores nothing on your device, so there is nothing here to consent to or turn off. Visitors are counted using a temporary identifier the provider derives from your IP address and browser; it is not used to identify you, and it does not follow you to other sites. It does not run inside the signed-in app.

Managing Cookies

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings; blocking the session cookie will sign you out and may break core features. If we introduce non-essential cookies, you will be able to change your choices at any time via a cookie preferences control.

Changes

We will update this policy if our use of cookies changes, with a new date and reasonable notice for material changes.
