Frequently Asked Questions
- What counts as a document?
- Each successful generation. A failed call is logged so you can debug it, but it never counts toward your limit.
- Is there a free plan?
- Yes. The Free plan includes 50 documents per month, for free, with the full product, editor, preview, versioning and the API. Paid plans add monthly volume, more API keys, longer log retention and higher throughput.
- What happens when I reach my limit?
- Further calls return a 429 (limit_exceeded) until the next calendar month, in UTC. Nothing is silently dropped or surprise-billed; upgrade any time for more volume.
- Do you store my generated documents?
- No. The API returns the PDF bytes to you and we forget them; we keep metadata and any error, never the document itself.
- How long do you keep my logs?
- Generation logs hold metadata only and are retained by plan: 7 days on Free, 30 on Starter, 90 on Pro, and a year on Scale. Older entries are deleted automatically.
- Is my input data stored?
- Only if you turn it on per template, to help with debugging. It is off by default.
- Which formats can I generate?
- PDF today. Image and HTML-email outputs are on the roadmap.
